SS Kit review
« on: May 26, 2010, 08:57:16 PM »

Hi guys,

As you may have read elsewhere, I have recently had a grant from a local compay for some cricket equipment. So after many conversations with Asad i finally decided what i wanted to spend the money on. Everything but the Cicada Middeling bat came frm Uzi Sports:

Asads services were second to none and he realy is the best cricket salesman i have ever come across. (no offence to anyone else!) Asad phoned me several times, and he was texting me and keeping me updated throughout the whole process. He even included freebies! this inluded some AS sports trousers, 3x cricket bat grips and also 2x anti scuff sheets! I realy cant explain how pleased i am with Asads services and also the products. Please let me know if you would like to see individual reviews for each of the products. But im a bit tight for time at the moment because of exams etc...

That must have been a pretty substantial grant you got Paddy!!!
The new SS stunner looks like a top blade (but i hate the grips they supply the bats with), the SS LE gloves look the dog's danglies and the SS pads are starting to grow one me a lot!!!!
Another satisfied customer by the looks of things!

I really like the look of the SS pads too. That whole kit looks great - I hope you get a ton of runs with it

Im tempted to buy a pair of these pads - but it would be good to hear peoples views of them first :)

silly silly i have a pair of these pads got them this season from yash, have found the ss softs so far to be very comfortable and more importantly affordable, my only slight reservation is they seem to have a tendancy to rise up but that coud just be how low on my foot i like to wear them. overall there a good solid all round pad maybe not the lightest but certainly one of the more comfortable pads i have worn. would recommend both the ss gloves and pads

Since SS also makes Newbery softs anyone here has used both brand softs? Is there any difference at all except the price?

Also Paddy these are Matrix ones right?

CD yes they are the Matrix ones. I have found that the material has worn quite a bit in the couple of times that i have worn them (the pads) so i dont know what to do about that!
