Hi all,
I work as the Devon disability cricket officer, one of our lads ordered a custom made bat of Big Jim Laver, and it arrived today and it is one hell of a bat!!! James Laver let the chap have it at an incredibly reduced rate as he was a registered disability squad member with the BACD (British Association  for Cricketers with disabilities). Also James sent through a load of stickers for me to put on all the bats that we get donated by the public that we have to renovate and re-grip etc. I also managed to get a set of stickers of him for my laver that i bought of E bay for £53.00p . Of special note is that the only support the Devon disability cricket team has got this year has been from the Devon cricket board, our chairman Jim Wood and cricket development officer Matt theedom have been unwavering in their support. Gary from Red back Cricket provided a huge amount of batting pads and gloves, James at lekka sent through a whole set of kit gloves, bats, pads etc as did Bash from Penine cricket along with Silly Shilly.
Also various forum members sent in equipment without your support the Devon disability cricket team would not have got of the ground this season.

A big thank you to Big Jim Laver he sent it through to our lad at cost price, with a padded bat bag, three grips, and loads of stickers for all the bats we get sent in which we renovate before we send out to disabled players. A big thank you to Redback, Penine Cricket, Lekka, Gun and Moore and all the people who sent in pads and stuff for us to use. And the bat is amazing super balance and was pre knocked in also. Massive bat with large edges as a two pound coin sits neatly on the side. It also weighs 2.9lb but picks up around 2.4 lb and i forgot to thank Assad at Uzi sports who always gives us super discount on bats and things when our guys purchase of him!!

I know someone that plays for dorset disabled and England disabled aswell. It really is good that people are getting behind it. I coached some disabled kids and they love cricket!

Great bats mate look top notch!

I played against West London Deaf side last year now that was an experience. It was just so strange to see them all talking in sign language. They beat us aswell!  They were a bit dodgy with the appeals though, played and missed at one and they appealed!

same, a guy who goes to my college hit 50 for Somerset disabled team the other day. Also doing 1-2-1 coaching with a guy who has trials coming up for the England deaf team, would be a good thing to put on my C.V if he makes it!
