stick some medical tape on the arches of the foot to stop the two pvc materials rubbing together on your pads and spikes

also looking for a way to soften up new pads without using them in a match, dont want to use them until they are nice and comfy, was thinking about soaking them in water perhaps, anybody know a way?

strange.....why not wear them to bed.....wonder round the house doing the hoovering...go down the supermarket with them......on a more serious note....start wearing them in nets then voila...they get nice and soft for matches....

Wearing them around the house is probably the only way - I really wouldn't soak them in water.

I would think you'd saturate the padding for starters and any wetting then drying of the surface material would accelerate cracking. certainly wouldn't recommend it if you want your pads to last.

the padding would surely dry out natrually and the surface material would do like wise, probably not gonna do it but just wondering...

Soaking will probebly ruin the padding structure on the inside,

problem being its not leather on the pads but PVC or Pu at best which is water resistant so will bear no benefit at all apart from taking ages to dry out and doubling the weight of them in the mean time!
