My Trip To Kippax
« on: June 03, 2010, 11:40:29 PM »

Went to kippax today and will actually pick up my bat tommorow so will have a full review later with pictures if anyone can help me with that?

Well first to say i talked to chris (not kippax the other one) and he was very nice i told him that i was looking for a SH and he advised wavex and as it is my birthday soon! i thought why not give it a try and i had brought my old bat which to my surprise was 2.7 + 1/2 which i thought would be alot lighter so he brought some bats they had made this morning and they all looked pretty nice! the one ive chosen has like 12 grains and a strip of heartwood and will hopefully be ready by tommorow!

I had some discount so the price has gone down abit but still a hefty cost but hopefully it will last me some time :)

Hope the bat goes well for you Singo.
Out of interest, why did you choose Kippax over other brands? Reccomended to you? Or just fancied trying one of their bats?

Ive got the bat

First thoughts :

Lovely grains - 2.7 + 1/2
But the only thing is when i was getting knock downs it seems extremely hollow but they said they have knocked it in twice and throughorly , anyone got any info on this?
I feel the handle is nice and will comment more after i have used it properly, need help with pics though?

Cheers

The reason it sounds hollow might be due to the Wavex? Although I'm not 100% sure...
