Now I'm officially confused lol.  I've been coached by a Mark Speight at South North who played 1st class cricket. 

That would have been Martin! There hasnt been a Mark Speight at South North!

Our two county coached had trials for Leicestershire. Daniel Shurben and Richard Waite. And we sometimes get little training session with Geoff Cook the Durham coach in for some fielding.

Grant Flower coached me for a few years at school - though one year we had Brian Strang instead

I went for a trial at Durham Academy and was coached by Neil Killeen. Not for long, but still.
