Congratulations to you and your son Asad, good luck for the future!
Out of curiosity and ignorance on my behalf, how do the better minor counties sides compare to the worst county championship sides?

I've played with many minor county players at Uni, decent players but there is a sizeable gap still in the difference - but this shouldnt be suprising, as i believe they only play a handful of matches a year compared to professional counties playing 30+.
Uzi is doing well though by the sounds of it, a potential county pro???!!!

the better minor county sides would give the lesser 1st class 2nds a very good game as shown by the Unicorns this year

Thing is the unicorns aren't minor counties or good club players there are mostly ex 1st class players

I agree there are a lot of ex 1st class players but in that squad there are quite a few players who have never had a 1st class contract.
If you read this months spin Wesley Durston says that 1st class 2nd teams are about the standard of the better minor counties side as he played quite a bit for Wiltshire when he was at Somerset.
