BAS or SS
« on: August 09, 2010, 08:14:06 PM »

still looking for some new softs and i'm getting really drawn to the BAS and SS equipment on the UZISPORT website.
the SS platinum and BAS shadow are what ive narrowed my choices to. (gloves to match)
does anyone have a pair of either or does anyone have any detailed advice on either set of softs?
the winners will be my purchase of choice!
never gone down this path before so it will make a nice change from the usual kook, slaz,Woodworm and Puma gear ive bought in the past  8)

i have bought 2 sets of bas softs

the shadow gold are very nice pads i had them in mens small and they fitted like a glove with a small top hat which i like ..
also the shadow design2 gloves were soft  and had good flexibility from the moment i put them on.

also had a set of 2 strap bas bow 20/20 very nice pad indeed but lack flexibility..

also had a set of bas commadore gloves same as most brands both set of gloves have pittard style palms good flexibility in both sets.

all the kit was from asad and he is service was very good.

only downside i would say is the gloves are very good but not very durable in my opinion as the Indian style pittard do not last as long as there English counterparts but all in all a good glove

hope this helps

Bas or SS are very good indeed, I've used the shadow myself and found them excellent I've also used the two strap version again excellent. Not personally used ss although i have seen a lot of the softs and rate them highly either will do well for you. Asad what be where i would be buying from if i was looking for BAS or SS.

Both have an excellent reputation for quality and in addition to their own branded stuff are contractors for many famous brands. There are various threads here about that.
In my opinion, SS is slightly ahead in quality but you will have no regrets either way.
