A Remarkable Six
« on: October 17, 2008, 03:30:36 AM »

Standing out in the field all day is the best place to watch a game. Over many years I have seen some remarkable sixes hit but perhaps on Wednesday I saw the best six I have even seen.

Mark Gaskell (ex State player) had just hit a promising English left arm spinner for a big six over mid wicket. Now the spinner has come back with a great ball drifting in so the batsman could not free his arms. Beaten in flight or so it seems Gaskell hit the most remarkable BIG six over cover right out of the screws. This is the greatest six I have ever seen by a country mile.

This shot probably jeopardised a few windows then. Not bad for a 52 yr old either
