Who do you guys think is the best team overall in all formats, your top 4 or 5 in order and reasons would be great
Mine would be:
1. Somerset. They had a great year. A more favourable attitude from Durham and Trescothic not being as sporting as he was could have landed them both the Championship and the t20 trophies. To be so consistent across the board takes a monster effort, so fair play to Tresco and the boys
.
2. Nottingham. They were very close to qualifying in the CB40, losing out only to eventual winners the mighty Warwickshire, won the Championship on the last session, and were defeated semi finalists in the t20. Overall, a good year for Chris Read and his lads in the East Midlands.
3. Yorkshire/Warwickshire
Both these teams are viable contenders.
Yorkshire were semi finalists in the CB40 and came third int he Championship with not many points difference, however they had a poor year in the Fpt20 which stops them taking away this 3rd place clearly.
Warwickshire had a very good end to the season. They won the CB40 in a great final, avoided relegation in the Championship with a great turnaround late on in the campaign, and they were quarter finalists in the t20. Their low finish in the Championship prevents them from making it into the 3rd place spot clearly.
