Hawk XB 300 (Shorter Blade)
« on: March 23, 2014, 09:25:58 PM »

Hawk XB300 - blade is around 1 inch shorter than a regular bat to compensate for the bigger edges (39mm) whilst still only being around 2-7/8 lbs! Went down to the workshop intending to purchase their grade 3 version of the bat however they'd sold all of them so they charged me the same price for a piece of grade 2 timber which was good of them. The guys down at the workshop were great and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Went down to pick my cleft and then let them get to work...

Had 2 indoor and 3 outdoor sessions with it so far this season and it feels a belter, great pickup aswell. Only gripe is a few of the seam marks that it's picking up. Was recommended to give it 2-3 hours knocking in which i've easily done however I'm still getting seam marks on the face, possibly because of the anti scuff sheet? Its been about 7 years since i bought my last bat as i've been out of the game a while now and my last bat was a natural face so I'm unsure

I really wouldn't worry about the seam marks mate.
