AGREED - That shape would be a pain in the ass to finish mind you. If this is real i wonder what the specs are (i.e. edge size, weight, lenght of blade and handle etc) - knowing slazenger it wont be anything to set the world on fire :)

I like the look of it, a take on their previous shoulderless models.

Looks interestingly different. Deffinately seems to be something of a recent revolution in changing the basics, ie mongooses, shoulderless willostix and now this. Surely new shaped and thinking can only be a good thing

The shoulders or rather lack of them are very reminiscent of the V WG that came out in the late 70s early 80s again made by Dickie Wensley in his slazenger days, the reason for the lack of shoulders at the timewas the bat was designed with Lance Cairns who was a bottom handed big hitter,he used to drop the bottomhand down the hanle and onto the shoulder/ splice to give the extra ummppph to the ball, around th e same time gray nicholls released a shoulderless bat aswell, there was a fair bit of legal preceedings between the two companies.

Richard did make some superb bats in the 80's under the Warrior brand.

I remember those shoulderless Slazengers. A batsman for one of the teams we used to play had a shoulderless V12. Nothing new in the world of cricket bat design it seems!
