Curvature of Blade
«

Hey guys,
I was looking at Bats, new and old ones and was wondering how the curvature of the blade affects performance as opposed to tradional profiles? Why do they do it? Balance? Weight distribution? Power? I am just wondering because I am looking for a low middle bat, and most of them have a traditional profile. So I am just wondernig which would be suited best for me.
Any help would be appreciated.
cheers

I was of the understanding that a bowed blade would help you to play the ball later as opposed to a traditional profile.

I seem to remember being told that a bow allowed a higher middle for pick up to perform more like a lower middle, and made it easier to loft the ball.
