It could be that the companies have an agreement to use the logo. Either way, it doesn't seem fair on Aero who obviously have put a lot of effort into getting their product in the Test match arena.

Ah okay. Smith, Botha etc are using 2010 stuff if I am correct whereas ABD seem to be using 2-3 year old stickers.

I believe same applies for Pakistani players. Umar Akmal was using 2010 stuff.

I believe these players are not getting latest stuff?
I'm pretty sure the only GM thing he was using yesterday was his Flare bat, not sure why.

I suspect some companies are waiting for the Gabba to unveil their gear in an international match.

I think Umar Akmal has given his GM batting pads to Misbah and Umar himself was using SS matrix pads.

I didn't see Umar batting but he usually uses GM Original LE pads whereas if I remember the pads Misbah was wearing had canes only. Although the one Misbah wore are also Misbah and I believe those are GM 909. These pads were previously used by Imran during Australia tour

No GM gloves?

His brother was wearing GM helmet and gloves.

The pads Imran Farhat wears are Left Handed GM Original LE 09, these were originally owned by Salman Butt he used them against New Zealand in a test match. But later that tour the match fixer Butt got a sponsor and gave the GM pads to Farhat and Farhat started using them bcoz his CA pads were ripped.

Have seen many of the pakistan players use other brands in the past and use stickers from their sponsor to cover up the actual manufacturer of the equipment.

Inzi used to use Kookaburra softs and cover their logo up with the Wills sponsor logo, thats was back in the 90's so its nothing new.

I can understand players using the sponsors logo's on bats so that they fulfill their sponsorship requirements, but what is the point of Akmal using his sponsors labels on equipment which they don't sell. Its hardly promoting the brand and its products
