HI guys,

I was wondering what is the best way to find out if the handle is good or bad. I have always wondered that how can you tell if a bat has good or bad handle.

What is good or bad? a bit Norb's there....

There are many facets to a handle, quality and type of cane, rubber, glue. Then construction style and quality. Shaping, machining and fitting.

Very few actually know what handle style they have in their bat so it is tricky to judge.

Ah okay. Is it possible to tell from pictures? If I post pictures can one figure out how many canes, etc it is?

I'm more interested to know why so many brands have 3 springs these days in a handle. It must be Mr Millichamp and Laver (I think) using the double springed handles these days...
Do these types of handles tend to be better or does it just mean that the handle has less whip in it?

Not really, some have top quality rubber strips at the top and they finish 1cm under the binding, the only way is to bend and flex it plus know who made it.

2 springs are typically stiffer due to the lower amount of rubber, but I've seen some trebles that have very thin rubber strips....
