My New Mongoose CoR3
« on: July 20, 2010, 05:14:30 PM »

Hello Forum Members, here is my new Mongoose cor3.I been thinking about buying one for a while and i just thought i give it a go after speaking too a few people who own one i went and bought this.I am very happy with what i have been sent,i asked for 2'10 weight and it is spot on and the finish is superb. The grains are pretty straight and it has a great feel and picks up well.I not tried the mallet on it yet but that will be my job for the next few days :(
I cant believe the size and thickness of the toe as well,it looks as thick and powerful too hit those yorkers for four!!

And now too tell you who supplied the bat too me and a familiar name too some members Mark Tait.He kept in full contact with me sending me emails every day giving me updates about my purchase and it arrived fully boxed up,bubble wrap and protective bag.I was very happy with the service and cannot fault him at all. :D

Thanks for taking the time too read my review, and if anyone has any questions please feel free too pm :D

Hello mate,

Looks like a very nice bat. I've got a similar one but with narrow grains and it strikes off the middle beautifully!

How is it going?

I'd be very interested to see some pics too Mars. I would also like to hear how both Mars & Lexx feel using the bat, whether you would recommend it to others and so on!

Cheers!

Rik, this is a quality bat. My one weighs 2.8 but its pick up makes it feel like a feather. The bat has a huge edge from top to bottom and the idea of there being no cane on the face really helps the power in the shot. eg. back-foot shots rising on you if you get what I mean.

I have had great success using this bat over the last year and I would recommend you get one immediately. Great value for money and I am sure you'll achieve many milestones such as I have whether its top of the order or at the end of an innings.

This picture was taken ages ago and sorry for the quality. Can't really show you the grains currently as it is full of cherries ;)

Hello Rik,thanks mate it went well for me.Took a while to get used to it but i had atleast 7-8 nets sessions before i used it in a match. The first time i used it i had some throw downs and my god it went really well,i am very impressed with my Mongoose and mine is only a grade 3!!
I would recommend anyone to give them a go,give yourself time to get used to the pick up and feel and then watch the ball fly off to all parts of the ground ;)

Took a gamble and it paid off, wasn't sure if I'd get a reply with the date on the last post... but hey, you both replied! Thanks!

Mars, I know what you mean - glad to hear you've been getting results too! Thanks for the pic mate.

Lexx, from the pictures you posted before it looks a great bat especially for a grade 3.

Either of you guys recall any shots coming out higher on the bat, where the splice on the blade would normally be?
