What players do you think have been unlucky not to have a decent stab at an England career and will now be see as 'past it'?

From Lancashire's current squad, I would say Glenn Chapple and Gary Keedy. Chapple is a handy bowler and can contribute with the bat, and Keedy was unlucky not to be given a chance in the 90s. The statistics for both aren't amazing, while Keedy's bowling average is above 30, Chapple's is decent at nearly 28, both could have become very decent players, especially Chapple, who has a first class batting average of nearly 25, and I have seen them both turn it on at times. Keedy has been brilliant at times this year on the telly, and in a pre-season game against Yorkshire, Chapple hit 50 from 30 deliveries to save the game.

Glen Chapple can count himself very unlucky as he has been a consistent performer for Lancashire possibly one of our best players in the last 10 years. Again Gary Keedy is another player that should of had England recognition ? he was one of the only spinners in England that actually turned the ball but yet we played endless people who were slow bowlers not spinners.

Mal Loye is another player who was not giving a fair chance, Rob Key has not had enough time either as with Phil Mustard, Dominic Cork , Mark Ramprakash etc etc all should have played longer for England.

Watching Gary Keedy earlier this year... bowling to the right handers he was coming from the left side of the umpire (I always get confused as to whether he is over or around now as he is a left hander - how village lol), pitching the ball outside leg stump and spinning it to outside off, and this was in the middle overs of a one day game, when I have seen him in the CC he has been very economical, speedy through his overs and tough to score from.

Mark Davies from Durham! averaged between 15 and 17 the past few years has just been unlucky not to stay fit long enough!
