Predator Pro Performance
« on: November 12, 2008, 06:48:29 PM »

Got myself one of these from a online retailer at a price of under £130. Lovely piece of timber, 12 sapwood grains, small butterfly stain near the model sticker, which adds a bit of character to her.

Had a net with it the other day, very nice ping, interesting to hear that GN, GM, Kook, Slaz and the likes crop a fair bit of stick from cricket fanatics using forums such as this, saying that their quality is lower than smaller custom brands (which in many a case -  it is!) but this GN really seems the business. The only thing I am not overly-keen on is the handle set-up. It seems that the twine has put on in such a way, that it gives the feeling of using 1 1/2 grips when I am not a fan of this grip set-up. But you never know, it may grow on me.

How and where did you get the bat so cheaply? Normally there at least £240. It is SH?

For that price he must have bought it from "Lillywhites" (same as Sports-world) in London (not sure if youve ben there), anyway I saw all the bat's, and they do have a lot of grains but also alot of discolouration and a fair few stains. Although I might be wrong and he bought it from a well known retailer, I still stick to "you get what you pay for", and that there must be some reason for the prices.............

May have been V Sports in their sale a while back.

Was in Lillywhites on Wednesday, bats weren't very impressive at all only thing that interested me was a new GN Scoop @ £90. Had some Fusion PP pads at £30 too but they were the pick of a bad bunch.
