Poor Laminates.
« on: December 09, 2010, 10:29:23 PM »

An example of a poor laminate?

On a serious notes, please post pictures on the worst designed laminates that you have ever seen. Or Laminates that are heavy, yet aren't that imposing in profile size.

There is a lot of hype on bigger bats = better performance, much the same as aesthetics = better performance, although I have yet to see the former myself, at first hand anyway.

This will be the same theory used in baseball, two bats or a weight on the end of the bat in warm ups, weighted gloves ect feeling of increased hand speed come game time

Golfers regularly do it, warm up with 2 and play with one. I got taught it as a young'un by my club pro!

loving the SS Softs :) great covering up technique, maybe they can use it for a betting scam in the near future ;)

my neighbour has a bat which you can tell is a laminate from a mile away, completely different coloured wood.
but it goes.

My laminate, made by GN for a South African U19 player is awesome.Ive played 30 plus years and owned a few 'pro' bats but this is a different level of laughable ping. First game I used it I square cutted a six on a huge outfield ( a big thanks to petehosk- hope you are ok,not been around for a while)

It does weigh 3lb 1 oz though.. Pete put an extra grip on for me to lighten the pick up. Four fifties in first six innings with it
