Kookaburra Blade 250

Kookaburra Blade 250 review

I have to admit that this purchase was based very much on the fact that Eoin Morgan use these bats. I am never usually one to buy a bat for stickers, but on this occasion, I couldnt resist. After using one of these in an indoor game in mid September, I thought I would have a look into purchasing one. I went up the CJI as I knew Chris had some in stock, and started to look through the various Blades he had in.

After choosing around 2/3 Blades in stock, I decided to go with this one of a couple of reasons. The middle position on this bat is slighter higher than the others that was in stock, as I like the higher middle bat. I also chose this bat because it is probably the biggest Blade he had in stock.

The specifications of the bat is:

Weight: 2lb 9oz
Edge size: 32mm
Grains: 7/8 with butterfly stain in the middle
Grips: Black spiral on top of stock Kookaburra Blade grip

Initial thoughts:
I have to say that the pick up on this bat is lovely. It seems well balanced and is nice and responsive with the mallet. I have used it in a few indoor matches this season and it seems a nice bat to play with.

Overall thoughts: An absolute bargain at £70!

Thats just a small hint Leo! Deleted a few for now. Given you a reply, let me know if thats any use. Been tempted with one of these for a while, at that price. Had the Blade from a few years ago but didnt get on with the shape found it quite unforgiving but seems to be less concaving in this one than others I have seen

This one hasn't got much concaving, has some, but not excess amounts, so this another reason why I brought this bat.

I know what you mean about bats being unforgiving, but it will be interesting to see how it suits my style of batting when I hit the nets with cricket balls, instead of the soft indoor balls, but seems like an excellent purchase so far!
