Won a tournament last year with our usual field being straight long, midwifewicket boundary, extra cover halfway and deep backward point. Make it difficult to score runs with the bowling and make sure the bowlers all field on the singles. No short stuff as this goes for big runs.

When batting, move around the crease. Be prepared to fetch balls from outside off to leg, for example.

we have always done well with mid on and off on the 30 yards ring( can always push one back if needed) cover coverpoint area and a midwicket/cow area. your never gonna stop the ones but if you can cut out as many boundaries as you can it will show up the fitness of the batsman

Played in one of these last year, you have to make sure your keeper is ready to run otherwise every outside edge just flies away to the boundary without any chase. Like in the test matches 3rd man is a very large run scoring area, especially for good batsmen!

depending on the quality of your bolwers - look to have a 3-1 offside field, 3rd man, deep point and deep extra with a guy around deep midwicket. The get your bowlers to bowl yorker length deliveries a foot outside the off stump.

And dont under estimate the importance of slow bowlers - often they are harder to hit...

And make sure you don't bowl anyone really quick. Anything edged flies for four without the keeper having a hope. You need to stop the batsman from getting into a rhythm, and most will go out there looking to be aggressive.

Bowlers that take the pace off but still get movement are the ones that are hardest to get away with so few fielders.

deep square leg, infront of square.
long on
long off
deep point

third man or fine leg are men wasted, if it goes down there its the bowler or keepers fault.

How is it the bowlers or keepers fault if a batsman edges one down to third man?

one pretty much behind the bowlers arm, one in cow, one out at deep point and one at deep square.
