I emailed Solitaire the other day asking about a weight reduction for my solitaire bat that I had purchased around september last year. They said it would be no problem and I arranged to take my bat in yesterday for a weight reduction and whilst I was there I also asked them to take some weight off my Warsop bat that Warsop had made a mess up when I asked them to refurb it for me. I decided not to send my Warsop bat back to them and decided to undo their mess myself and I had removed the stickers and sanded the bat before I took the bat in to Solitaire. I had tried to take a bit of weight off myself through sanding but it was taking too long so I decided to take it into Solitaire for them to take some weight off of it.
When I got into the shop I said to the guy there that I want both bats around 2'9-2'10ish with grip/stickers on as they were both around 2'12ish. I asked for my Warsop bat for the weight to be taken off by making the bat concaved, as the bat was more of a traditional shape and for my solitaire bat to retain the same shape just take some weight off of it. I was told that the bats would be ready a couple of hours later on the same day.
So I went back into the shop to collect my bats a couple of hours later and they were ready when I got there, picked them both up and looked at them and they did a very good job there. I was only charged £30 for this, so I would assume that the weight reduction of the Solitaire bat was free and the £25 + £5(stickers) for the Warsop bat weight reduction.
They had done exactly what I asked for in terms of shape of the bats, however when I got home I did put the bats on the weighing scales and the Warsop bat was just over 2'9 which I was extremely happy with but the Warsop bat was 2'11. So they had taken some weight off the Solitaire, but for some reason not that much however the bat does feel lighter than that when I pick it up and it's what I originally asked for from Solitaire so I wasn't too displeased, especially as it was free.

Also when I was there I had a look at the bats that they had to offer and they were doing a Mongoose MMi3 style bat. Picked one up and it felt good and the price of it was £100. I don't know exactly how long the blade was etc, so I don't know how close it actually was to the Mongoose style bat. I think its a very good deal for anyone wanting a bat like this, as the way that Solitaire bats are they only have one grade of bat, so you would be getting a tremendous deal considering you have to pay more than that for the cheapest Mongoose.
