Cricket Balls
« on: February 01, 2011, 08:55:09 PM »

Looking to purchase some cricket balls for the new season we have two teams so will be looking for around 24 balls per team. Obviously i will be buying two different standards of balls and thought i would see if anyone had any contacts or new the best place to purchase. The first team used Dukes County International last season and i wont buy Readers as i don't like them, would consider Kookaburra but would prefer Dukes. I honestly cant remember what i bought the second team however it was a budget grade A ball.

Due to league restrictions we can only use the likes of Kook, Readers, Dukes so i can not buy any Asian imported balls unless they are from the manufacturers ive mentioned. Not many places up here in the North East that do cricket equipment and last years supplier hasn't bothered to return my calls or my email hence why I'm looking now so any info would be great.

As a bowler, I'd always want Dukes. The seam and swing last longer and youcan keep them moving for ages.

Yer as I'm captain and a bowler and i buy them i always only buy something i like and suits me although the other bowlers also prefer Dukes, found readers go soft quickly and don't swing as long however its many years since i last used readers so I'm sure many will prefer readers to dukes.

Worth contacting Morrant? They tend to be cheaper on stuff like this
