Which Gloves to get
« on: February 06, 2011, 05:21:50 PM »

I am getting some SS supertest Blue Cameo gloves and I don't know which one of these other three I should get.

SS Matrix Pro: http://onlinestockist.com/SS-Sunridges-MATRIX-PRO-2010-Cricket-Batting-Gloves-P850240.aspx
SS Millenium Pro: http://onlinestockist.com/SS-Sunridges-Millenium-PRO-2010-Cricket-Batting-Gloves-P1283398.aspx
SF Triumph: http://onlinestockist.com/SF-Triumph-Cricket-Batting-Gloves-P741939.aspx

I'm not too fussed weather the leather is Pittards or Sheep/Calf Skin, more that I can't decide what looks better. Or should I just get 2 pairs of the Supertest gloves?

Personally like the Matrix ones! But it's your choice after all...this depends on people's favourite colours and colour schemes though!! ;)

I don't have tiny hands, but they are on the smaller side. Are the Indian gloves always smaller?

Indian gloves are the same size as youths in the uk.

My advice to you is to try Asad at uzi sports as he stocks SS gloves and they will probably work out the same price as buying them from online stockist

I sent him an email, only real downside I have notcied is that gloves are a little bit more expensive.

Are the gloves based more on the normal mens sizes? This would be my first time buying cricket gear off of the internet as I usually always go to the stores and select what I wan't (after taking ages to pick), but living in Aus they really only stock the big brands like Kook, GN, GM, Slazanger etc. So I thought I would change it up and buy some other brands that aren't sold in Australia, that and I seem to be enjoying buying the gear as much I like using it at the moment  ;)

Any other gloves that people would recomend ???

I have SS Millennium Pro gloves and I also did a short review on them which is here;

http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=9370.0

(Hope that helps)

Well when I bought my Millennium pro gloves I was fussed about the size as well but when I got them they looked tad bigger and looked UK size. I have always found UK gloves (except my GM Original LE) to be a bit bigger so these SS gloves were exactly like those. I wear inners with them and have few mm of space free.

If you have any question(s) regarding these gloves just let me know

Cheers

Thanks for that as it helps alot.

Just some quick questions, where abouts did you buy yours from? Also, are the pittards leather used the same as the one used in the Kook Kahuna RP's? As I used to have some and they were great.

Thanks

Langer, you talking about these Supertest gloves?

Online Stockist only seem to have the 2009 versions http://onlinestockist.com/SS-Super-Test-Cricket-Batting-Gloves-P111237.aspx

Not sure if Asad has any Supertests in, I'm after red and white though
