or slightly towards the outside edge, thats what i find my hands do? am i wrong?


I would encourage the v on the bottom hand to be slightly towards the outside edge - I have shown this pic before, but it illustrates the point nicely.


If you find it closes the face too much, your top hand may be slightly out too. For some people opening the face at the back lift helps. For me it is whatever is comfortable, but this is probalby a bit high:

this is what i tend to do as it's the most comfortable, and stops me closing the face. In addition, I tend to hold the bat very lightly in my bottom hand until I've hit it.

Someone once said that 80% of faults are in the grip, stance or backlift.
