I've never seen a thigh pad like Dhoni's in the sixth photo down on here. It seems to have three bottom straps. It also seems much bigger.

I suspect us has something to do with his oversized, extra dried shockdocktor, custom made, extra large box.

failing that me might be picky about how his thigh pad sits (doesn't make him a bat person) so has the extra straps sewn on.
