Duncan fletcher - India coach
« on: April 27, 2011, 11:34:51 AM »

Just read that India have given Duncan fletcher the head coach role. Slighty surprised as thought they may have gone for someone else with a bit more media savvy. Stephen Fleming would have been my choice. Also where are the high profile indian coaches? What are your guys thoughts?

Surprised to hear about it but makes alot of sense. India have two major problems on the horizon, firstly replacing an ageing batting order and secondly a rubbish seam attack. Duncan Fletcher is the perfect guy to advise the younger Indian batsman on batting abroad in particular. He also knows what is required to bowl out an International team. Despite Moores plucking out Sidebottom for a couple of years, the Fletcher mantra of big guys bowling heavy balls still applies with Anderson being the exception.

With a tour to England looming - who better to pick holes in the England side?

I would have preferred Kirsten carrying on but then Fletcher literally changed England. Hope he does something to improve the woeful bowling attack of India
