Our club B Team have a right cross section of players, 14/15 year olds just starting out in the game, a couple of 5ft5in adults weighing in at around 10st to a 6ft8in 17 stone man mountain.  Whilst watching a game last week I noticed that they only had one bat worth using in the bag and two utter planks, so as most of them don't own kit I have acquired 3 bats this week and thanks to this forum saved a bundle on one of them!

1. SH Gray Nicolls Fusion Ignite - 6 straightish evenly spaced grains 2lb 13oz / 33mm edge
2. Harrow Hunts County Glory 5 - 9 grains with blemishes low down the bat 2lb 5oz / 25mm edge
3. SH Adidas Pellara County - 6 unevenly spaced grains 2lb 9oz on my scales (stickered as 2lb 11oz!?) / 32mm edge

The GN Fusion and Hunts County are 2nd hand, neither appears to have had a massive amount of use although the Hunts County was a bit tatty so I've removed all the stickers and the old scuff sheet.

The GN Fusion has what I consider to be quite a high middle and picks up okay, it does feel like it needs a bit of running in and sounds odd when tapped up with a mallet, I'm putting the odd noise down to the carbon handle but will test it properly in nets tomorrow.

The Hunts County has surprised me as the middle when tapped with a mallet or bouncing a ball on it sounds and feels very very good, it is only a Harrow and is a light bat at 2lb 5oz so the middle isn't huge, but I love the profile of it and I will be intrigued to see how it goes in the nets tomorrow.

The Adidas was purchased in the ECB sale and for £40 looks a bit of a steal, I am guessing that the willow has been bleached as the face is blemish free and the willow is much lighter in colour than the GN or Hunts County.  Having tapped it up with a mallet the bat feels like it has an okay middle, it doesn't feel like it is going to be 'amazing' but certainly isn't a plank and should be a solid addition to the team bag.  The shape of the back of the bat is very much dominated by the spine, as others have stated it is like a bat of toblerone stuck to the bat, and I have included a close up photo so you can see the.

A couple of the photos have been overexposed slightly so apologies for that but you can get the general picture.
