Uzis are good bats. Is it used? it would seem a tad pricey for a used players as a new one can be had for £179.

No mate, its new so a good price. I am looking for a bat to basically extend the life of my millicamp distinction. I play alot more cricket nowdays with 20/20's and cup games in addition to the saturday league games. The Uzi has a different setup with the long handle and short blade but it seems to be a gun from the knock ups I have had, just hope it doesnt affect my technique lol

My mates got one, and its a gun!! The shape is very similar to h4l monster 666. I would say the blade is about .5" smaller than normal

Got the Uzi now! 2lb 10oz but feather like pick up that will take some getting used to, plus side what weight there is seems to be at the bottom which is like my Milli, just knocking it in at the moment, it has a lovely ping with the mallet off the middle for a fairly flat profile......

I will give a more comprehensive review once i have played a few games with it!

Mate.. I recently picked up a once used in nets Uzi Players for £90 at 2'9" and it's incredible... have a black aero grip on mine; feather light pick-up and 4s/6s fly off it if you commit fully to your shots. Unfortunately I only made 3 runs with it opening before being caught at square but I was so miffed I lent it to a mate who knocked 67 in no time at all with the biggest 6s i've ever seen.. It was a big factor towards winning us the match although I got ribbed endlessly by my team mates.
Even defensive shots on the front and back foot will get you runs if you find the gaps/space...it's got such a 'ping'.  Honestly, I have yet to learn how to play these fully commited shots in matches as it's easy in nets and only my first T20 season. Regardless, i'm still unsure whether to use it in 40 over matches where i want to build an innings so at the mo, training in nets with my Charlie French Tourist with a classic profile also... Keep me informed on how your season goes..
Anyone else out there using their Uzi in longer over matches?

Thanks for the reply mate, mine weighs in at 2lb 10 but as you say the pick up feels like its about 2lb 7! still knocking it in and it has been added to the inventory to prolong the life of my beloved Millie, I had a knock of 81 on saturday and if i would have reached the ton i would have called for the Uzi more as an excersise in re-focusing. I do invisage using it for league games aswell as 20/20's though as it seems a very vey nice stick!

Is the Milli that good? Got to admit i'm collecting bats like an addict, a puma ballistic here, puma iridium reserve there.. but i get them at great second hand prices but always wonder about getting one made with my specs in mind from start to finish.. is that what you did with your Milli?

I got the Millie off the shelf mate and it is amazing! I am budgeting to get an Amplus and another Distinction next year! they do a custom option but to be honest they are all guns mate the ball literally flies of the face. It makes me look alot better than i am lol!
