Aero p1 hand protectors
« on: June 08, 2011, 06:30:14 PM »

Gents.. just got a pair of these delivered and although very different looking they feel good with an aero grip. Is there anyone out there who could give a review based on use in matches or did the looks put you off that much?

Ok.. so i'm on my own.. used the gloves for the last 3 matches and in the nets over the last month or so and they do really grip well with the aero bat grip which they were designed to do.. must admit some of the stitching has come loose on the sides of one glove where the suede like glove is attached to the padding and on the inside of one thumb, which required patient and painful repairing with needle/thread. Yes.. they look alien and i've received a fair amount of stick from team mates and opposition but if you like the tennis/hockey type aero grip, i'd definitely recommend them. Whether the 'boxing glove' shape and contour of the gloves actually reduce the need of forearm muscles over a longer innings at the crease, i'd be inclined to agree but it's my opinion only.

Bought a pair of these in large in the Barrington sale. Found them to be too small. How do you find the size?

I think you're right... mine have an S on the inside label so might be a small man's size.. can't remember to be honest but the gloves are a snug fit and most likely split the stitching when i lent them to 2 of my teammates in the net last week. . i'd rather they were a good fit rather than loose.. let me know how you get on with them... Something i missed earlier was that after using them with the aero bat grip I always seem to damage the grip with the friction from the gloves, so i've had to use bat tape to repair damage to the grip... again let me know if that happens with you..
