I have a fractured thumb and 2 fractured fingers so far this season.
I tend to use tape on both thumbs and middle fingers, not too tight so they are flexible enough, then chamois inners over the top. Have had to cut a couple of holes last weekend but does the trick for me now

ive not broken anything this year so far. but have had some dead nails and cuts wher ethe nail digs into ur finger. tape might stop that. what tape are you using mate

Tend to put a thin layer of toilet roll underneath mate, extra padding and stops any friction
