Colesy - Having just spent an enjoyable half hour reading the entire set of B&D Rules I can confirm there is nothing in there restricting clubs from doing this.

Im playing for our third XI this week as we need to win both our last two games to be in with a chance of promotion

Unfortunately not. We bowled the oppo out for 113 after sticking them in and I got 7-2-16-4 but when it came to batting we all batted like dicks and got all out for 83. The most humiliating part was I got out to a girl trying to force some runs. Bad times.

After making it clear I'd only play for the 3s if I wasn't taking any of the regulars' places, I was lied to and half of them played for our 2s who got cleaned up for 50, yep 50. So I'm up for 'normal' selection this week, if there is such a thing at our club 

Our 3s are still 2nd but we have 3rd this week so whoever wins, goes up. Good luck Leo, hope you do better than we did.
