Who makes the lightest and the best bat handles?
« on: August 10, 2011, 08:22:48 PM »

Just reading about Langer rehandling a SS and there is a significant difference in weight after a rehandle.
I have a stunning BAS LE in 2.10 but its a tad to thick on the semi oval handle so am considering a rehandle to reduce the weight and change to a proper oval which is not practical from Spain. If Indian made handles are of inferior quality I believe that but are they actually heavier and do they help the pickup. My Laver picks up lighter  so is the difference in the Carbocane handle? Best handle for shape and durability is my Warsop.
Is there a difference in handle weight and who makes the best handles?

my fave handle shapes are Warsop, SCat and M&H

id guess the lightest would be the laver Carbocane, newbs C6 and other carbo handles

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

I find Scat and M&H shapes the best as well for my hands.

Are English made handles lighter than the ones used in Asian bats?
Surely a heavier handle will improve the bats pickup similar to adding another grip?

I don't know if it was purely the handle, as I also got new stickers which are alot smaller than the Gladiator ones, plus it was sanded down a bit but I'd imagine that the Handle did make a little bit of a difference. If the weight is in the handle though that's a good thing because it will make the bat feel lighter due to the weight being up high. If it was in the blade then it would feel heavy as the weight is low down.

That is what I meant, more weight higher up means the bat should feel lighter
