I want to issue a word of warning. Although there are some very knowledgeable people replying here, it could be dangerous to go on what we say rather than what you think. Your best bet is to get an idea of what you want by trying bats belonging to team mates or go to shops and have a play.

From what you've said, it sounds as though a profile similar to this is the kind of thing you are looking for:

I'm predominantly a driver of the ball, and this is a mid-low middle that is very effective for that.

But I'd also go with Jon's words of warning!

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

No, it's custom made to my spec with a little concaving, but not much. You can see it here: http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=10198.msg162578#msg162578

I am looking for something about 2:12 ish when dressed with either a single grip with thick spiral handle or two if the handle is not that thick. I am about 6'2 and a good rugby prop build!

Love to play in the V particularly hitting hard and going over the top. Never shy away from the cut and pull either. Most pitches I play on there is a bit of bounce but combined with the bowlers I face very few that get the ball around your throat.

I would personally go for a Redback Paradox. You say that you like to play in the V and hit over the top, but at the same time you like to cut and pull, therefore needing the bat speed to do this. In my opinion you would need an 'all-round' bat which allows you to play your full range of shots. If you are intent on just driving and trying to hit every all over the top then I'd say go for one of the H4L's.

The Paradox is a combination of the two with a mid-low middle ideal for English wickets.

I myself have a Paradox LE and can quite honestly say it is the best bat I have ever used!

Just my two cents!

Cheers Jon for the words, I thought it would be interesting to see what the common thoughts on bat shape were.
