What was the pickup like with the one at the batoff Tim?
Remarkably good. It was a 2lb9oz bat with a middish middle. We rated it 8.3/10. It is a bit of a pendulum so it's not the lightest of pick-ups for the weight.

so glad you said that - i was worried i was the only one to think that is one ugly piece of wood!
I don't think anyone would describe them as pretty. I reckon the term is functional. That's what James has done here. Worked out where to put the wood and then formed the bat around it. In many ways it's just a V12 with curves.

3 looks like it has slightly smaller edges and a bit more weight at the top of the blade?

Middle has the most volume of wood, more around the shoulders and an ounce lighter. Edges are left to right, 49mm,44mm,35mm
