Tennis elbow
« on: December 17, 2011, 06:32:55 AM »

Over the past few months my right elbow has gone worse. Pain has increased and I feel there is no strength left. I am a left hand batsman and mainly use my top hand to bat.

Anyone here has a similar problem and a solution, would be really helpful. I tried icing , tennis elbow stretches to no great effect.

If it gets too much and for too long you might want to do physiotherapy.

Have you ever used a brace or strapped it up?

I had terrible tennis elbow a few years back. This was down to playing about 5 times a week at the time. I could barely hold my bat and so painful everytime I hit the ball. I tried all sort with no luck. I knew an acupuncturist and went and had a course of 3 treatments. It took a few months to work but it got rid of it and its never come back.

Know quite a few people who have done this and found it has helped!!

I did used a brace to survive the season but it didn't stopped the elbow to go worse. Today got some aqua puncture small needles put on my ear, will feedback if it will make a difference.

We've made many bats specifically for sufferers of tennis elbow. Getting it spot on involves specific distribution of weight as well as altering the handle significantly. If anyone is in this boat then please email me, james@laverwood.com, if you have any questions.
Thanks, James
