Any reviews on Symonds Rhino?
« on: March 10, 2009, 02:26:05 PM »

I have noticed that Symonds Tusker have are being made again. (quantumcricket.com) Has anyone tried using
their new bats? Any Opinions? are they as good as the ones made during 80s?
I am thinking of buying one, hence I am keen on any opinions.

Cheers

Symonds were bought over by Robinson sports a few years back. They are trying to re-build on the Symonds image (a little late in the day I feel).

Heavy bats mostly.

FattusCattus on here had a Symonds I seem to remember a while back. Redback on here also did a replica (in shape) of a retro bat, wasn't a Symonds but was the SS Jumbo I think. But if you're after a retro shaped bat made to your spec he may be worth a look.

I saw one of the new Symonds' and compared it to an old one, it's a lot different. Far bit more bowed and in a typically Indian style.

Thanks Guys.
I noticed it too. The newer ones don't look the same as the shape of the originals. I'll check out Redback.
