the one thing that worked for me is hyper-extended reverse sit ups, basically, you lie face down over the edge of a flat surface so that your top half is hanging off the edge, get someone too hold you feet if you need to, and basically  sit up backwards, sorry for the poor explanation, I will post a vid if you need me to, hope this helps though

These work, i do these quiet a bit but i am more a bowler than a bat

I am the same as bruce mate, I do about 10-15 reps and add weight if needed, its mainly a hockey exercise but i found it does wonders for cricket lol
