The ropes were taken in a little - but only 2 or 3 meters I believe due to health and safety!
And yet you look as older matches and the spectators are sitting on the boundary rope!!
I guess they mean health and safety for the fielders when they slide to stop a boundary - and they'd end up sliding into spectators or the boarding if the ropes remained where they were!!!!!
But as was said, 70m boundary is still more than enough I reckon! A miss-hit would result in a catch, so he still had to hit them well!
The funny thing about that innings is that you see them happen a lot in T20 matches, but the batsman normally holes out after 30 or 40 runs! But he kept on going and was just one of those when he seemed to be seeing it like a beachball! I prefer test matches, but I got to admit that it was fantastic viewing unless you're a Kiwi!
