Puma Bionic 6000 Crickat bats
« on: February 20, 2012, 12:28:08 AM »

Hi!

Has anyone else seen these yet?

I was reading about these bats on some websites and found a few points of concern -

1. Some sites claim that the bat is make in the UK, whereas the 4 Bionic bats I saw today had sticker saying made in India
2. Some sites mention the edges have been rounded off - whereas the bats I saw had very Bradbury like edges (not as sharp but very square)
3. Also the grip colours are different from the stock pictures (I feel the actual grey, black and red grip is very nice).
4. Toe guard is very poor quality and different from the regular toe guards that come on the Puma bats.

However, one think I loved and which possibly everyone will love is that these bats are huge. The 4 bats that I saw were 2lb9oz with just under 40mm edges and 25mm toe.

The pick-up and balance was very nice and the middle was quite responsive.

Not sure thought if these will last a couple of season if used by serious cricketer :)

So when you say that they are similar to the bradbury, did you mean they are flat faced to give it larger measurement edges??

Yes, they are in line with 2012 trend if flat face bats. More like the GN bats.

But still very imposing bats........

Heard these will only be in 6000 series and in limited numbers
