To bring this thread back up...

It's a shame about Paine, because without those injuries he would already have kept for Australia for a while now. He was being groomed as a future captain, don't get me wrong he still may be, but he is a lot better than Wade and Haddin. I do like Matty Wade very much, I think he is a good prospect for Australia, but Paine is and has been for a while now a lot better player. Like I said, nothing against Wade, the job he's done since being picked has been nothing short of exemplary.

Let's hope Paine recovers soon to give the selectors a few headaches! (good ones to have though!)

To be honest both of them(wade and paine) look like they could become fantastic players in all forms of the international game, long term number 1 selection might just depend on how they perform over the next year or so.
