1st attempt :S

Made this, this morning. :S Quite pleased with it for a 1st attempt, going to make a second one next week. I thought the toe area would be the hardest but its actually quite easy. Finish(sanding) isnt great as its only a kashmir and i wasnt bothered. What do you think of it....

I think the profile is pretty good, if you replicate that on a better cleft with a better finish i'm sure you would be on to a winner!
Good luck with the next one!

Yeah edges are a bit dodgy, its hard to keep them the same or regular size throughout. Cheers sillyshilly

Just a suggestion, which im sure you did anyway, just draw the edge shape you want with a pencil and measure it both side so at least they will correspond and you are more likely to get the weighting of the bat correct......like i said i'm sure you did something similar and it's just a difficult thing to do straight up, i can hardly talk as i've never tried myself but these are just my thoughts

That is superb,
it surprised me when I made my first one how difficult the shoulders and toe were. I usually mark the edges out each side in pencil so I have a guide to work to. Sandpaper is your best friend for sorting wavy lines.
Make sure you post pics of your next one.
