Middling Bat/Weight Reduction Refurb
« on: March 17, 2013, 05:03:38 PM »

Recieved my two Lavers back today from Red Ink and also a middling bat, I have to say all three are in one piece so thats a win in terms of couriers.

To the bats, the one standout thing for me is that the standard of finishing on these is absolutely fantastic, second to none in my opinion!

The two Lavers had a chunk of weight to be removed and have come back like new. The pictures dont do justice to quite how well they have ended up!

The middling bat is huuuuge, as you'd expect. And is weighted/shaped the same as the two others which is bang on!
Again really nicely finished and is an absolute steal at under £50! Theres certainly been no less work and time gone in to it compared to any others!

John was great throughout, discussing everything that us picky customers need to know! And was very good at keeping you updated!

Overall very very pleased with the outcome, can't wait to get using them. Will certainly be putting some business to Red Ink in the future, cheers John. 8)

No worries mate. Glad they arrived ok and your happy with the new weights. Really enjoyed doing the weight reductions. A couple of lovely lavers you have there.

Looks lovely, how heavy is that middling bat? I got one at 2lb 10.5oz, and looks a little wider than that actually!

I'm not surprised you were impressed by the finish, I reckon that batmakers improve with each bat they make/finish, so I can't imagine how good John's finishing is now!

It's around 2"9, I'm pretty pleased with it, the last one I had I got so used to I wanted to use it in mess about games! If I could have widened it somehow I would have!

Yeah it really is very nicely done, half scared to put bat to ball with them now! Will hopefully get a chance to use the middling one on wednesday so can update from them!

Hi,

I have a Laver Special Reserve that needs a weight reduction of 2-3 ounces and have come to terms with losing the lovely stickers as a result. Can you tell me what you asked for and how your Lavers played afterwards... I'm thinking of sending mine to Red Ink too as the price is so good and so seems the finishing....Thanks
