RIP Gary "Gus" Gilmour
« on: June 12, 2014, 10:34:20 AM »

Seems to have passed unremarked around here, but former Australian all rounder Gary "Gus" Gilmour passed away a couple of days ago.

He was a super cricketer in the mould of James Faulkner. If not for injury, he would have played many more than his 15 tests.

A wonderful talent.

He sounds like a great man and player even though he is about two generations older than me. Never heard about him until twitter went into meltdown with everyone saying was a talent he was and his 6 in the 75 World Cup. Sounds like he did a lot and Australian cricket is sad to lose him.
