Dukes Special Crown Match - okay, but not as good as they used to be, rarely swing and have a very soft seam.

Jason

As I said, our first XI have just tried the Uzi sport match balls and they were excellent> They kept their shape and lasted beautifully, swinging like a 70's porn star!!
The Captain has told me to order 24 balls as thet are excellent quality compared to other balls we've tried for the same price!

We changed this year to some new SS balls(no idea what model). there have been lots of complaints on the league's facebook page but I've bowled plenty of overs with them and find them to be fairly decent, keep their shape and swing around for quite a while.

do you play in the norfolk cricket league by any chance?

We use a Lord's Silver Sterling. The ball generally keeps its shape well, and still swings quite a lot after 15 overs of use, unlike the CA balls we used two seasons ago. We used to use Readers before the CA, but apparently they lowered the quality of the balls they used, so we swapped. The 1st XI use a higher grade of Lord's cricket balls.

Sorry just saw this, I do indeed play in the Norfolk Cricket League. Do you? And if so, who do you play for?

My Saturday club uses these too - we all love them, but then again, we only play friendly club cricket, so aren't used to much in terms of quality cricket balls... The orange ones have gone down especially well for the evening T20 games...
