A super pair of Slazengers (Well I think so)
« on: July 19, 2012, 08:43:17 PM »

Got these today. I have info that they once belonged to Alec Stewart but were too small for him. They have some customising to them, the webbing has reinforced stitching and the thumbs have an extra piece of leather at the base to make the angle of the thumb  ninety degrees.

They are super supple and hopefully if it dries up I will get a chance to use them this Saturday.

Whether they were his gloves or not is by the by but it's nice to know a bit of history of older gloves. There again they might be a bog standard pair, but theyre still nice.

Wore them on Saturday, lovely, thin pair of chamois inners, kept well if I say it myself, no chances but that's the way it goes.
Roll on this Saturday, forecast good, more cricket and I get to wear the gloves.

Sad really when that's what I look forward to :)

Nice looking gloves.
Are they made by Geoff Wymer?
Look very much like his custom gloves.
