We use the same radial 8" sanding drum for all our bats , with the tempo we have taken the wood from the edge area and put it in the spine. It isn't extreme concaving with the higher spine it makes it look like a lot but is the same as all our bats have . Hope this sorts of helps!

Thanks for clearing that up Matt  :) Would be nice if you could post a picture of the two finished bats side by side, just like the clefts.
