I've used a few of the Maliks. They go well, but the ones I've used were laminates.

Only had a quick glance at the add, couldn't see it say it was lam or "unique dual cleft" as Malik lams are often sold.

Great blades, poor quality handles. If you get one from Asad he'll look after you if the worst happened! Used two myself, one handle snapped the second time I used it and the second one lasted about 3 weeks longer. Once rehandled they were as good as anything I've had although I am not sure how long they would last as they were quite dry......they make them like that over there!!  ;)

Malik bats i have seen used by overseas pro look different in that area to any i have seen in the uk.

Very good bats indeed as good as any off here if you get lucky but that is the risk you take

Very good bats, they ping like crazy and have some serious meat on them. Lately handles have significantly improved and are a lot better.

I have always thought of them as a sloggers bat to be honest, but I haven't heard many bad things from the people that use them, except that the life expectancy for these are generally low, but I have known a few people to have ones that have lasted for more than 3 seasons! I have never actually used one, (I will use most bats, but if I were to use a Malik, I would feel the obligation to slog, which I cannot do to save myself) but some of the biggest sixes I have seen hit are from folk using Maliks. Hope this helps! 8) Oh, and Asad hand picks his bats, so you are pretty much guaranteed a good bat if you go for a Malik from him. :)
