GN Scoop Review
« on: October 04, 2012, 01:08:14 PM »

When I seen that the Scoops are going up in price for the 2013 season, I decided to get one of this years ones. I was on Cricket Insight one day and I can across a relatively new retailer called Vitas Cricket so I was looking at their website and saw that they offer free delivery to Ireland. They are the only retailer that I have come across to offer this service.

I messaged Jake and asked did he have any scoops in stock. He quickly replied saying that they had 2 in stock. He was off to the lords trade show the next day so he sent me photos the following day. In the mean time one of the scoops had been sold. He sent me the photos of the remaining scoop which matched my request of 2lbs 9oz and a relatively clean face.

I had to wait for money to transfer into my paypal account so Jake reserved the bat for me. The following week, I made payment for the bat along with some new grips and toe guards. There was an issue with paypal overcharging me but Jake quickly solved it for me even though he was at the opposite side of the world on holidays.

The bat was sent via courier to me and arrived yesterday well packed. The bat is very nice in the hands and taps up well. I will review the performance of the bat once I get to use it.

I want to thank both Jake and Robin from Vitas Cricket as the service was top notch and I probably will be making most of my purchases from them in the future due to the great customer service and also the free delivery to Ireland

Here are some pics of the bat

If anyone knows what these shoulder stamps stand for then I would be grateful to know

Another nice touch was the free gym towel that I also received

I have see two GN scoops in action. Both are good players and not happy with the bat at all. Its been six months they using the bat and seriously the bats are not opening up and now doubting if that will ever happen.
