I bought my wymers towards the end of this season and am very impressed with them aesthetically. They are made of good quality leather and need breaking in. Stitching appears sound and first impressions are £67 well spent.
I suppose like most 'seasoned' keepers we like them to be supple and comfortable so I set about mine with saddle soap and leather oil and a few hours punching the palms. They are getting softer and will, if supple enough be my gloves for next year. They will never be as soft as a pair of Alec Stewart Slazengers I picked up but we can't have everything.
Like Simmy I used Kooks Silver Classics for the first part of the season.(Well if you can call it a season with the rain we had).
The Kooks are really soft but I found that the palms were a bit thin, I like to feel the ball, but theres feeling the ball and feeling the ball.
Pictures of my gloves are on the forum in the keeping section under 'Look what arrived in the post today' and 'A lovely pair of Slazengers'
I will put more on about the Wymers next season but at the moment I wear them round the house to soften them up.
