Why does Aussie bats have a square toe rather than round , any particular benefit ?.

Not really, i think GN introduced it on their nitro due to pros preferring it.
I know that all m&h bats for 2013 will have the option of square or traditional toe.

Think it's just down to personal preference and due to the tracks being a lot harder in oz. It also reduces toe feathering

Clarke's bats are made in Australia and have been for some time. He said so himself while at Kingsgrove sports.

I think like a lot of pros, he'll have a number of bats from different manufacturers. He'll just pick his favourites from the bunch and sticker up.
